I received my Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley. Shortly after graduating college, I participated in AmeriCorps where I volunteered as a reading coach, helping at-risk students gain confidence in their literacy skills. After my public service, I went on to attend the University of Southern California’s Teacher Education Program and graduated with a Masters in Education. I have been a classroom teacher for the past twelve years and have experience teaching fifth grade, sixth grade, and two years as a middle school STEM teacher. In addition to being in the classroom, I also served as a Technology Coordinator at a Los Angeles charter school and have earned an Administrative Credential and a BCLAD in Mandarin.
