Palm Crest Elementary School welcomes Mr. David Santiago-Speck as the new principal for the 2023-24 school year. Mr. Speck has served in public education since 2004. He worked as an elementary school teacher in both the Los Angeles and South Pasadena Unified School Districts from 2004-2013. In 2013 he became a Curriculum Specialist for Arroyo Vista and Monterey Hills Elementary Schools in SPUSD. From August 2015–June 2017 he transitioned to the position of Technology Integration Coach working from the SPUSD District Office in support of the district’s elementary schools. Since 2017 he has been an Assistant Principal at South Pasadena High School. Mr. Speck earned his B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing from Cal State University, Northridge, and his M.A. in Educational Administration from Loyola Marymount University.
Mr. Speck shared: “I am thrilled to join LCUSD as the new principal of Palm Crest Elementary! I am grateful for the warm welcome I have received so far, and am extremely honored to be part of this community. I look forward to working with the PCR staff, students, and families, and continue to build on the school’s record of excellence."
